Golf Course Overview
Twin Warriors Golf Club was designed by renowned landscape architect Gary Panks. Twin Warriors, routed in and around 20 ancient cultural sites, has received media coverage in Links Magazine, Golf Travel & Leisure, Golf World and Golf Magazine. Opened in May of 2001, the course is located next to the Tamaya Hyatt Resort and Spa, which Conde Nast recently named one of the top 75 resorts in North America.
Twin Warriors not only features beautiful grassy knolls and ridges dotted with juniper and piñon pine, but is also framed by stunning views of the Sandia Mountains. The greens consist of dominant bentgrass, while the fairways and tees are comprised of hybrid bluegrass and a bluegrass fescue mix. The course measures 7,736 yards from the tour tees, which carry a USGA slope of 130 and a USGA rating of 75.0. Five sets of tees are also available for all levels of play. From the resort tees, the course measures 6,485 yards with a USGA slope of 125 and a USGA rating of 69.6.
The objective of Twin Warriors Golf Club is to provide its guests with a world-class golfing experience, which includes a shuttle service between the hotel and golf course and three golf ambassadors positioned around the course itself. The practice facilities include a driving range, two short game practice areas, a putting green, a private instruction area and learning center. A pro shop provides a unique shopping experience for guests seeking equipment, apparel and accessories. The selection consists of quality and name brand merchandise and a knowledgeable staff is ready to assist guests in finding the proper equipment.
