Located at the Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, the Dacotah Ridge Golf Club has received numerous awards and accolades. Sporting a rugged, prairie land character, the course emphasizes definition at every hole, giving players the opportunity to visualize each shot. With the sparkling clear Wabasha Creek and its tributaries coming into play on over half of the holes, the course is challenging, fair and aesthetically pleasing.
Nationally acclaimed architect Rees Jones has designed or redesigned over 100 golf courses in the United States and every major golf tour has contested championships on courses he has either designed or significantly remodeled. With Dacotah Ridge Golf Course, Jones has not only created a natural course that seamlessly blends with the surrounding landscape, but the dramatic variety of elevation, well-contoured greens, and endless subtleties make the course a different experience with every round.
The 18-hole, par 72 course stretches 7,109 yards from the back tees, has a USGA slope of 134 and a USGA rating of 73.9. Four sets of tees are available, as well, for players of all abilities. From the front tees, the course spans 5,055 yards, has a slope of 121 and a rating of 68.9. The greens, fairways and tees consist of bentgrass while the secondary roughs consist of fescues, blue stem and native prairie grass. Five holes surround a 14-acre lake while Wabasha Creek winds through eight holes.
Dacotah Ridge also has a 14,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with a full service restaurant and the Great Hall, which includes a bar and seating for up to 110 people. The pro shop at Dacotah Ridge offers a knowledgeable staff and wide assortment of the latest in golf equipment and apparel. Club rentals are also available, featuring complete sets for men, women and left-handers, as well as PGA professional lessons for individuals as well as groups.
