The only female and youngest comedian to hold the title of NBC'S “Last Comic Standing,” Iliza Shlesinger will return to Comix At Foxwoods to take the stage for four shows beginning Thursday, June 20 at 8 p.m. Additional shows will be held on Friday, June 21 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 22 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are currently available in advance for $25 for general admission ($35 day of) and $50 for VIP admission ($60 day of). This show is for mature audiences only. A two drink minimum applies to all tickets.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Shlesinger’s television credits include her own half hour special on “Comedy Central Presents,” as well as NBC'S “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “Last Call with Carson Daly,” Comedy Central's “Live at Gotham,” E!’s “Chelsea Lately” and “The Soup,” and Showtime's “Pauly Shore and Friends” and “Bridging the Gap Comedy Festival.”
Shlesinger serves as the host of CBS's syndicated comedy dating show, “Excused,” which can be seen on VH1 as well as on local channels. She is currently in development for her own late night talk show pilot with VH1, and writes and stars in her comedy news show, “The Weakly News,” on www.thestream.tv, which has been running for over four years.
She has also been seen on The History Channel, and is featured in the comedy documentary “I am Comic.” Having moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Emerson College, her live stand up resume also includes performing at the coveted Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, hundreds of clubs and colleges, and in various countries for troops overseas.
