In 1995, Jim joined NBC's “Saturday Night Live,” becoming best known for his original character “Goat Boy” and his impression of actor Joe Pesci, resulting in the recurring “Joe Pesci Show” sketch.
After a four-year stint on SNL, Jim starred in the movie “Half Baked,”alongside comedian Dave Chappelle. Breuer has since appeared in the popular films “Dick,” “Titan A.E.” and “Beer League.” His most recent film is the 2011 animated comedy, “Zookeeper,” featuring Kevin James.
On the small screen, Breuer hosted MTV's popular “Beach House” and VH1’s “Web Junk 2.0.” He has appeared on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and most recently, NBC’s hit “The Marriage Ref.”
His acclaimed autobiography, “I’m Not High:(But I've Got a Lot of Crazy Stories about Life as a Goat Boy, a Dad, and a Spiritual Warrior),” was recently released on paperback and chronicles his early struggles, rise to fame and lessons learned. In addition to keeping busy on his current comedy tour “Heavy Metal Family Man,” Breuer can also be heard on his weekly Sirius/XM Radio show “Fridays With Breuer.”
Breuer is currently working on his latest 1 hour comedy special 'Mid Life Madness'" and he just finished filming the new Lionsgate comedy, "School Dance," directed by Nick Cannon.
Throughout the years, Breuer has also supported various charities through his comedy, including the Chris Farley Foundation, MusiCares, his local police and fire departments and more.
