Date: August 19 - 20, 2010
On August 19-20, 2010, The Seminar Group, in partnership with the Native American Contractors Association, present the 6th Annual Re-Emerging Northwest Tribal Economies. Co-chaired by Lael Echo-Hawk, Legislative Director for the Native American Contractors Association and Gabriel “Gabe” Galanda of Galanda Broadman, PLLC, the conference focuses on economic development strategies for all tribes.
“In working on the program, Gabe and I deliberately attempted to create an agenda that offers practical knowledge to tribal leaders, attorneys and economic development boards and their staff. This is not meant to be a conference solely for attorneys, we want to see tribal leaders and their employees there,” Ms. Echo-Hawk said. The agenda features a keynote address by Margo Proctor-Gray, Chairperson for the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development, as well as other national leaders such as Clara Pratte, National Director of the Small Business Association’s Office of Native American Affairs; Sarah Lukin, Executive Director for the Native American Contractors Association, and Shana Greenberg Barehand, Tribal Liaison, Washington State Department of Revenue. The conference will be held at the beautiful Tulalip Resort Casino located 30 miles north of Seattle, Washington.
