The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is a major entertainment destination that blends the excitement of Hard Rock with a first-class boutique hotel and Las Vegas-style casino. The complex consists of a newly expanded 178,000 sq. ft. casino within a 210,000 sq. ft. low-rise building, a 12-story hotel tower and an enclosed parking facility, all on 37 acres.
A 50-foot-tall signature Hard Rock guitar modeled after one played by Paul McCartney greets visitors arriving to the hotel and casino complex. A multi-level fountain highlights another pair of oversized, artistic guitars, perched in front of the hotel’s porte cochère main entrance, leading into the modern hotel lobby, highlighted by extra-large, framed photos of rock music legends such as the Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia, The Doors’ Jim Morrison, The Who’s Peter and others. More rock n' roll memorabilia is featured throughout the casino, including new, state-of-the art interactive displays and the WonderWall video waterfall as part of the recent casino expansion.
The casino offers live action poker and 3,400 gaming machines, half of which are now Vegas-style slot machines, including I Dream of Jeannie, Price is Right Plinko, Wheel of Fortune, Monopoly, and Double Diamond. The casino also boasts Florida’s largest poker room with more than 104 poker tables dedicated to Omaha Hi-Lo, Texas Hold ‘Em and 7-Card Stud. Plans call for the introduction of blackjack, baccarat, and pai gow in the fall of 2008. The High Limit area is complete with its own cashier, VIP desk, and private restrooms. Second to none in player comforts!
Restaurants at the complex include: Council Oaks Steaks & Seafood, fine dining with in-house butcher shop specializing in prime, dry-aged USDA beef and Alaskan crab legs off the boats from the Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch”; Floyd’s, finer dining by day and hot spot by night specializing in signature drinks, light fare as well as Mediterranean-American fusion entrees; Fresh Harvest, marketplace-style environment with seven live-action kitchens serving up sushi, Italian and, American favorites, raw bar, seafood, carving station, vegetable and salad station, and dessert island, Sunday champagne and jazz brunch; Green Room, 24-hour casual dining restaurant serving up breakfast favorites; The Plum Lounge, VIP lounge specializing in catering to the whims of the highest rollers; and the Food Court, featuring numerous choices of meals on the go.
